Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you go solar.

Not every project requires storage. Batteries become especially relevant when evening energy use, outage resilience or selected backup loads are priorities.
Standard grid-tied PV normally shuts down during a utility outage. Backup operation requires compatible equipment, controls and an appropriately designed battery system.
Historical usage, roof or site area, shading, orientation, future loads, utility requirements and your resilience goals all influence system sizing.
An off-grid property cannot rely on utility power. The PV array, battery bank, inverter capacity and backup strategy must therefore be designed around daily loads and expected low-sun periods.
